We have been plunged into the reality of working and studying online due to the Corona Virus pandemic.  With the imminent arrival of level 3 lockdown, it is important that we continue to up-skill ourselves when the opportunity arises.  One of the positive by-products of the pandemic, is that it has given us the chance to fast track into the 4th industrial revolution, with people having to work from home, and also students having to attend online classes.

The reality of sitting in a training centre or a class room, is a distant memory.  Due to the pandemic, employers and employees have been forced to financially tighten their belts and move into a more flexible and virtual way of running their business, and this can also include training.  This has given those who have been struggling to juggle both work and school, or even those who merely want to go back to school, a chance to do so.  These can also be utilised even in the aftermath of this unpleasant time.

There is so much uncertainty going on; we don’t know whether we are coming or going. However, we can try to remain as relevant as possible by enrolling ourselves in some free online courses and possibly webinars.  Search engines and educational institutions have been offering free online courses since before the pandemic.   These can be in line with your current occupation, or it can be something different, that will assist you in future endeavours.

In addition, as we move into this new phase, it is important to remember that there will be a lot more movement and activity.  Meaning it is important to always stay informed. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has online training on the virus that will assist in keeping you informed and educated.
